I am a very recent convert to Ubuntu, as in just this weekend. I put together a new computer, and decided to make the jump from Windows 10 to Ubuntu. I've been trying to search for answers as I can and make it work, but I'm having some trouble with this one.
I've got a fresh install of Ubuntu 26.04. As a practice with previous computers, I put the OS on a small dedicated SSD and use a larger SSD for apps and general storage.
I've tried following a few guides on how to mount an additional drive and have the OS automatically mount the drive on startup, but I've been unsuccessful so far.
I have successfully formatted and partitioned the 2nd drive as vfat using GParted, and added a line to /etc/fstab for the new drive as instructed by an instructional here. The issue could be that the instructional is 14 years old, and the method has changed since then. Any help is appreciated.
